Does this tool transcribe YouTube audio?
No. It extracts a caption track already available for the YouTube video. If the video has no usable captions, the result stops instead of running ASR.
What is the free limit?
A signed-in Free account gets one deterministic attempt per UTC day for a video up to and including 5:00. Invalid URL syntax does not use the attempt; over-limit and no-caption results do. Temporary service failures release it. Pro requests use 4 credits.
Does it use manual or auto-generated captions?
It prefers an available manual caption track. If no manual track can be used, it can return a YouTube auto-generated track and labels the result accordingly.
Can I open a transcript line at the right moment?
Yes. Returned lines include start times, and each timestamp links to that point in the original YouTube video.
What can I download?
The current page downloads a TXT file with the title, channel, source URL, caption language and type, followed by timestamped caption lines.
Are transcript results cached?
They may be cached for up to seven days so another request for the same video and track can return without starting the extraction container again. The account allowance or Pro credit cost still applies to a cache hit.
