Instagram to MP3
Turn the audio from a public Instagram Reel or video into an MP3 you can play and save.
Paste an Instagram Reel or video link
Use a post with a video. Choose a clip after the lookup to convert its audio.
Audio extracted from a Reel
Choose a video first. Each conversion uses that clip’s audio track, so a carousel with several videos can produce separate MP3 files.

The Wolves Up Close clip
On 30 October 2026, this @natgeo Reel returned a video that downloaded successfully. Converting the full clip produced a playable MP3.
| Source video length | 30.14 seconds |
|---|---|
| Source audio | AAC, about 74 kbps |
| MP3 bitrate | 128 kbps |
| MP3 duration | 30.10 seconds |
| MP3 file size | 482,068 bytes |
The 128 kbps setting describes the MP3 encoding. The sound still comes from the compressed audio in the video.

A quiet track and a missing track
The video in this @europeanspaceagency post saved as a 30-second MP4 on 31 October 2026. It had no audio stream, so conversion returned “This video does not include an audio track” and offered no MP3.
In this seven-video @natgeo carousel, the first clip had a near-silent audio track and produced an MP3. Clips 2–7 had no audio streams and each returned the same error. Conversion preserves the sound available in the chosen clip.
Convert a Reel or video to MP3
- Copy the link to a public Reel or video post.
- Paste it above and choose Find audio. Select Convert to MP3 under the video you want.
- When conversion finishes, listen to the audio and choose Download MP3.
What the MP3 includes
The MP3 contains the audio mixed into the video: any speech, music and background sound that the returned file carries. There is no song search or voice separation.
A still image cannot be converted to audio. If Instagram returns only a cover, open the individual Reel link and try the lookup there. A video without an audio track cannot produce an MP3.
To keep the picture too, save the MP4 with the Reels downloader, or use the video downloader for a post with several clips.
If a file is missing or unavailable
- No video to convert
- Use the individual post or Reel link. A photo or a cover alone has no audio file to extract.
- No audio track
- The returned video has no audio stream to convert. Choose another clip. A silent audio stream can still produce a silent MP3.
- Conversion failed
- Retry the conversion while the result is available. The source-video limit is 100 MiB; the MP3 limit is 25 MiB.
- Expired links
- Choose Refresh links, then Find audio to request the post again. A new successful lookup uses another lookup credit or your Tools balance.
How CarryFeed gets the file
CarryFeed opens the public post in a remote browser without signing in to Instagram, then offers the video files returned for that post. The MP3 converter extracts the chosen video’s audio and encodes it at 128 kbps. If Instagram requires a login or omits a file, the lookup cannot supply it.
The browser runs on Cloudflare Browser Run. An available lookup can be reused across the Instagram tools for about five minutes. Keep the original post URL after saving a file.
CarryFeed builds and operates this tool. For a wrong result, contact contact@carryfeed.com with the post URL and the time of the lookup. See About CarryFeed, privacy and lookup pricing. Downloading a file does not change who owns it; get permission before reusing someone else’s work.
Common questions
Does this download the song used in a Reel?
It extracts the audio track in the returned video. Speech, music and background sound stay together. It does not find the original song, separate vocals or open Instagram audio-library pages.
Why do I need to choose a video before downloading MP3?
A post can contain several videos. Choose Convert to MP3 under the clip whose audio you want. The audio player and MP3 download appear after that conversion succeeds.
What happens if the video has no audio track?
Conversion stops with an error, and no MP3 player or download is offered for that clip. A silent audio track is different: it can still produce a silent MP3. Choose another clip if you need sound.
What are the file limits?
The source video can be up to 100 MiB, and the converted MP3 can be up to 25 MiB. The MP3 is encoded at 128 kbps. A larger bitrate does not restore detail missing from the source audio.
Do I need an Instagram account or a CarryFeed account?
No Instagram account is connected. Sign in to CarryFeed to use prepaid Instagram lookups or your Tools balance. Private accounts, Stories, Highlights and pages that require an Instagram login cannot be opened here.
When does a lookup use my balance?
A successful lookup uses one prepaid lookup or your Tools balance. A partial result can count as successful even if the file you wanted is missing. File downloads and MP3 conversions reuse that result without another lookup charge. Failed lookups are not charged.
